S. Thomas Russell is the pen name of Canadian author Sean Thomas Russell, born in Toronto in 1952. He published his first novel in 1991 and has written fantasy under the name Sean Russell, as well as historical naval fiction under S. Thomas Russell. His Charles Hayden novels, including Under Enemy Colors, A Battle Won, Take, Burn or Destroy, and Until the Sea Shall Give Up Her Dead, draw on his lifelong passion for sailing, maritime history, and the sea.
