Lauren Castillo is an author and illustrator of children’s literature. She studied illustration at the Maryland Institute College of Art and earned an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. She is the author-illustrator of the Caldecott Honor–winning Nana in the City and the Our Friend Hedgehog chapter-book series, and has illustrated numerous acclaimed picture books by other authors.
