Drawing on extensive travels, journalism, photography, and life experience, he writes interconnected short stories centered on identity, adventure, loss, and the search for meaning. His books include Across the Border, Tarnished Dreams, and numerous literary-realism audiobooks; he now lives in Portland, Oregon.
