Moira Young is a Canadian author from Vancouver who moved to the UK to attend drama school before beginning her writing career. She is best known for the young adult Dust Lands trilogy—Blood Red Road, Rebel Heart, and Raging Star—which has been published in more than thirty countries. Blood Red Road, her debut novel, won the Costa Children’s Book Award and was optioned for film by Ridley Scott.
