J.L. Drake is a bestselling author of dark contemporary romance and romantic suspense. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada, she later moved to Southern California, where encouragement from a friend led her to self-publish her first book after working in acting and entertainment. She has since written more than 30 interconnected novels, including the World of Mayhem series, blending romance, danger, emotional intensity, and suspense.
