Jon Billman is an author, journalist, and professor whose fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Esquire, The Paris Review, Outside, and Zoetrope: All-Story. He holds an MFA in Fiction from Eastern Washington University and is the author of the story collection When We Were Wolves and the nonfiction book The Cold Vanish, about people who disappear in North America’s wilderness. He teaches fiction, creative nonfiction, journalism, and film at Northern Michigan University.
