Jon Katz is an American journalist, author, and photographer whose writing career spans novels, mystery fiction, memoirs, nonfiction, short stories, and children’s books. He has written for publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Slate, Rolling Stone, Wired, and the AKC Gazette, and worked for CBS News, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. His later work focuses largely on dogs, farm life, animal behavior, and human-animal relationships, drawing on his life at Bedlam Farm in upstate New York.
