Esmé Weijun Wang is a Taiwanese American writer and essayist, and the author of the novel The Border of Paradise (2016) and the New York Times-bestselling essay collection The Collected Schizophrenias (2019). Her work explores mental illness, chronic illness, disability, identity, and lived experience. She has received the Whiting Award and Graywolf Nonfiction Prize and was named one of Granta’s Best of Young American Novelists.
