Her writing career grew from accounts of missionary life and martyrdom—including Through Gates of Splendor, Shadow of the Almighty, and The Savage My Kinsman—to influential books on Christian living, relationships, suffering, obedience, and biblical womanhood, including Passion and Purity and Let Me Be a Woman.
