Kaela Rivera is an award-winning children’s author best known for the Cece Rios trilogy, which began with her 2021 debut novel, Cece Rios and the Desert of Souls. She also writes tie-in fiction, including LEGO DREAMZzz: Dream Chasers and the Riddle-Spokens, and middle-grade supernatural horror such as The Hungry Forest. Drawing on Mexican-American and British folklore, Rivera writes hopeful adventures that explore cultural differences, family, grief, and healing.
