Mary Marcus is a Louisiana-born novelist who studied at Tulane before moving to New York. She worked in advertising and fashion for companies and publications including Neiman Marcus, Vogue, Lancôme, Fabergé, and Sanrio, while publishing short fiction in literary journals. She is the author of the novels The New Me and Lavina, and lives between Los Angeles and East Hampton, New York.
