Lisa Patton is a Memphis-born bestselling novelist whose writing career began with the Dixie series, including Whistlin' Dixie in a Nor'easter, Yankee Doodle Dixie, and Southern as a Second Language. She later wrote Rush and Kissing the Sky, a historical coming-of-age novel set against Woodstock. Before focusing on fiction, she worked in theater, radio, television, and the music industry, including more than a decade with Michael McDonald.
