Kim Zupan is a native Montanan who grew up around Great Falls, the setting of his debut novel, The Ploughmen (2014). He pursued writing while working for 25 years as a carpenter and later earned an MFA from the University of Montana. His short fiction has appeared in journals including Epoch and Big Sky Journal, and he has taught carpentry at Missoula College.
