Elizabeth Fremantle is an English novelist whose writing career centers on historical fiction about women and power, especially in Tudor, Jacobean, and Renaissance settings. She is the author of Tudor novels including Firebrand, Sisters of Treason, Watch the Lady, and The Girl in the Glass Tower, and writes historical thrillers as E.C. Fremantle, including The Poison Bed and The Honey and the Sting. Her novel Disobedient won the 2024 Historical Writers’ Association Gold Crown Award.
