H. G. Parry is a New Zealand author and academic who writes fantasy novels blending magic with history, literature, and folklore. She is the author of The Unlikely Escape of Uriah Heep, the Shadow Histories duology, The Magician’s Daughter, The Scholar and the Last Faerie Door, Heartless, and A Far Better Thing. She holds a PhD in English Literature from Victoria University of Wellington and lives in Wellington, New Zealand.
