Sara Nović is an American writer, translator, and educator whose debut novel, Girl at War, explored a girl’s coming of age during the Yugoslav wars. Her New York Times bestselling novel True Biz centers on Deaf culture, American Sign Language, and life at a boarding school for Deaf students. She also writes essays and criticism on Deaf studies and disability rights, and is the author of the memoir Mother Tongue.
