Oliver Stone is an Academy Award-winning American screenwriter, director, producer, and author. He won an Oscar for the screenplay of Midnight Express and went on to write and direct films including Platoon, Wall Street, JFK, Born on the Fourth of July, and Natural Born Killers. As an author, he wrote the memoir Chasing the Light and co-authored The Untold History of the United States with historian Peter Kuznick.
