Kaite Welsh is an Edinburgh-based author, critic, and journalist, and a former Literature Officer at Creative Scotland. Her writing has appeared in publications including The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Times Literary Supplement, and The New Statesman. She is the author of the Sarah Gilchrist series, gothic historical mysteries set in Victorian Edinburgh, and has also written short fiction and appeared on BBC radio and television.
