Caroline Alexander is an American-British author, classicist, journalist, and filmmaker known for literary nonfiction about exploration, history, war, and the classical world. She is the bestselling author of The Endurance, The Bounty, The War That Killed Achilles, and Skies of Thunder, and published a widely acclaimed translation of Homer’s Iliad in 2015. Her writing has also appeared in The New Yorker, National Geographic, Granta, Outside, and Smithsonian.
