Patricia Bracewell is an American historical fiction author who grew up in California and taught literature and composition before beginning her writing career. She holds an MA in English literature and drew on extensive research in Britain, France, and Denmark for her Emma of Normandy Trilogy: Shadow on the Crown (2013), The Price of Blood (2015), and The Steel Beneath the Silk (2021). She has also served as a writer in residence at Gladstone’s Library in Wales and speaks about historical research and fiction.
