Jo Baker is a British novelist born in Lancashire and educated at Oxford University and Queen’s University Belfast. She made her publishing debut with Offcomer in 2002 and has since written novels including The Mermaid’s Child, The Telling, Longbourn, A Country Road, A Tree, The Body Lies, and The Midnight News. Her work ranges from literary and historical fiction to psychological suspense, often combining detailed historical settings with elements of mystery, romance, and the uncanny.
