Renita D’Silva grew up in coastal South India, studied engineering, and worked in IT before turning to writing after having children. She began publishing short stories after taking a creative-writing course, then released her debut novel, Monsoon Memories. She has since published numerous historical and women’s-fiction novels, including the West India Dock Road saga, as well as psychological thrillers; her short fiction has received award nominations, and The Neighbours won the Joffe Books Prize in 2023.
