Neil Alexander is a Northern Irish author, teacher, and journalist whose writing has appeared in The Independent and The Daily Telegraph. He began his career in health journalism and later worked for the UK learning-disability charity Mencap, which inspired his debut novel, The Vanishing of Margaret Small. He holds a master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Kent and writes character-driven mysteries, including The Lost Past of Billy McQueen and The Librarian’s Secret.
