R. A. Dick was the pseudonym of Irish writer Josephine Aimee Campbell Leslie (1898–1979). She is best known for The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1945), a supernatural romance later adapted into a 1947 film and a television series. She also wrote novels including Unpainted Portrait, Duet for Two Hands, and The Devil and Mrs. Devine, as well as the play Witch Errant.
