Candace Camp is a New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author of more than sixty novels. She wrote her first novel while attending law school at the University of North Carolina, published it in 1978 under the name Lisa Gregory, and later left practicing law to write full time. She has also published as Kristin James and Sharon Stephens, and is known especially for her historical and Regency romances, including the Mad Morelands and Stonecliffe series.
