Howard Bloom is an American nonfiction author and former music-industry publicist whose writing examines mass behavior, evolution, culture, history, religion, science, and popular music. His books include The Lucifer Principle, Global Brain, The Genius of the Beast, The God Problem, The Muhammad Code, How I Accidentally Started the Sixties, and Einstein, Michael Jackson & Me. Before focusing on books, he founded a major music public-relations firm and worked with artists including Michael Jackson, Prince, Bob Marley, and Billy Joel.
