Maxwell King is an American journalist, editor, and nonfiction author whose writing career includes work at newspapers and magazines and nearly eight years as editor of The Philadelphia Inquirer. He later wrote The Good Neighbor: The Life and Work of Fred Rogers, the first full-length biography of Fred Rogers, drawing on interviews, oral histories, and archival research. King has also published poetry and written extensively about civic and cultural life.
