Lisa Kusel is an author whose career began with the linked-story collection Other Fish in the Sea (2003) and the novel Hat Trick (2005). She later published Rash, a memoir about her family’s experience in Bali, before turning to psychological suspense with The Widow on Dwyer Court (2024) and Long Way Down (2025). Before writing full time, she created Microsoft’s first online arts magazine, worked for the EPA, and sold cosmetics in Russia.
