Frances Liardet

Frances Liardet is a British writer and translator of Arabic literature. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia and studied Arabic at Oxford before translating works by Naguib Mahfouz and Edwar al-Kharrat. Her first novel, The Game, won a Betty Trask Award; she later published the historical novels We Must Be Brave and Think of Me.
