Diane Allen was born in Leeds and raised on a farm in the Yorkshire Dales. After working as a glass engraver, raising her family and caring for her ill father, she joined a large-print publishing firm in 1990, where she developed her interest in writing. She now writes full time, producing Yorkshire-set historical sagas focused on family, romance and community, and is an Honorary Vice President of the Romantic Novelists’ Association.
