Susan Choi is an American novelist and fiction writer whose books include The Foreign Student, American Woman, A Person of Interest, My Education, Trust Exercise, and Flashlight. Her work has received the National Book Award for Fiction, the Asian-American Literary Award for Fiction, the PEN/W.G. Sebald Award, and other honors. She teaches writing at Johns Hopkins University and serves as a trustee of PEN America.
