William Kuhn is an American biographer, historian, and novelist. He began his writing career as an academic historian, publishing scholarly works on the British monarchy and biographies of figures including Benjamin Disraeli and Henry and Mary Ponsonby. After teaching history for fifteen years at Carthage College, he became a full-time writer, producing biographies of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Lord Byron as well as literary novels set around the British royal household.
