Sean McMeekin is an American historian and nonfiction author who teaches modern European, Russian, Soviet, and post-Soviet history at Bard College. He has also taught at universities in Turkey, Yale, and NYU, and writes award-winning, revisionist histories of the world wars, the Russian and Ottoman empires, communism, and twentieth-century geopolitics. His books include To Overthrow the World, Stalin’s War, The Russian Revolution, The Ottoman Endgame, and July 1914.
