Tom Verducci is an American sportswriter and author who has covered Major League Baseball since 1981. He began his newspaper career at Florida Today and Newsday before joining Sports Illustrated in 1993, where he became known for long-form baseball reporting and analysis. He has coauthored The Yankee Years with Joe Torre, written The Cubs Way, and coauthored The Book of Joe with Joe Maddon.
