Daniel Tammet is a British writer who has worked as a full-time author since 2005. His books—including the memoir Born on a Blue Day, the popular-science works Embracing the Wide Sky and Thinking in Numbers, and the literary nonfiction book Nine Minds—explore mathematics, language, autism, cognition, and the inner lives of extraordinary people. His writing has been translated into thirty languages, and he also writes fiction, essays, poetry, and translations.
