Bill Heavey is an American outdoor writer and editor-at-large for Field & Stream, where he has written since 1993 and long contributed the magazine’s humorous “A Sportsman’s Life” column. His work has also appeared in publications including Men’s Journal, Outside, The Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times. He is the author of several nonfiction books that combine hunting, fishing, outdoor adventure, and self-deprecating humor.
