Nicola Kraus is an American novelist best known for coauthoring The Nanny Diaries with Emma McLaughlin, which became a #1 New York Times bestseller and a 2007 film. Together they wrote several bestselling adult and young adult novels, including Citizen Girl, Dedication, Nanny Returns, The Real Real, Over You, and The First Affair. Kraus later published The Best We Could Hope For as a solo novel and cofounded The Finished Thought, a writing and publishing consultancy.
