Born in Mexico City and raised across several countries, she studied philosophy at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and comparative literature at Columbia University. Her books include Faces in the Crowd, The Story of My Teeth, Tell Me How It Ends, and Lost Children Archive, and her work explores migration, displacement, translation, memory, and the ethics of storytelling.
