Margaret Werry is an Associate Professor of Theatre Arts and Dance at the University of Minnesota whose writing examines performance beyond traditional theatre, especially in tourism, museums, heritage, and public culture. Her books include The Tourist State: Performing Leisure, Liberalism, and Race in New Zealand and Theatre and Tourism, alongside scholarly work on theatre history, settler colonialism, race, Indigenous sovereignty, and cultural policy.
