MJ Porter is a British author of historical fiction and nonfiction whose novels focus primarily on Saxon England, the Viking Age, and the British Isles before the Norman Conquest. She began writing her first book in 2008 and publishes independently as well as traditionally with Boldwood Books and Pen & Sword. She also writes twentieth-century historical mysteries and Norse-inspired historical fantasy and romantasy.
