Terryl L. Givens is a scholar, author, and editor whose writing focuses on Mormonism, Latter-day Saint theology, religious history, scripture, and intellectual history. He is Professor Emeritus of Religion and Literature at the University of Richmond and a Neal A. Maxwell Senior Research Fellow at Brigham Young University. He has written or co-written roughly twenty books, including Wrestling the Angel, The God Who Weeps, The Crucible of Doubt, All Things New, and several studies of the Book of Mormon.
