Z.D. Dean is a former U.S. Army officer and West Point graduate who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. After leaving the military, he began writing science fiction, drawing on his military experience to create authentic combat-focused stories. He is the author of the Redleg in Space trilogy and the E.S. Laser Horse series.
