Deborah Smith is an American New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling author who has written nearly forty novels and story collections since beginning her writing career in the 1980s. Best known for romance and women's fiction, she often writes about family, relationships, and life in the American South, particularly the Appalachian communities of Georgia and North Carolina. She is also a founding partner and former vice president of BelleBooks and Bell Bridge Books.
