Reyna Grande is an award-winning Mexican-American novelist, memoirist, and essayist whose work explores immigration, family separation, identity, and the American Dream. She is the author of the novels Across a Hundred Mountains, Dancing with Butterflies, and A Ballad of Love and Glory, as well as the memoirs The Distance Between Us and A Dream Called Home. Her writing has earned the American Book Award, the El Premio Aztlán Literary Award, and other honors, and she teaches creative writing at Antioch University Los Angeles.
