Gian Sardar is a Los Angeles–born novelist who studied creative writing at Loyola Marymount University. She is the author of the novels You Were Here, Take What You Can Carry, When the World Goes Quiet, and Land of Dreams, and coauthor of the memoir Psychic Junkie. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Literary Hub, Confrontation Magazine, and Salon.
