Nathaniel Rich is an American novelist, essayist, and nonfiction writer. He is the author of four novels, including The Mayor’s Tongue, Odds Against Tomorrow, King Zeno, and Cloudthief, as well as the environmental nonfiction books Losing Earth and Second Nature. His writing has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Harper’s, and The New York Review of Books; he lives in New Orleans and teaches at Tulane.
