Téa Obreht is a Serbian-American novelist born in Belgrade who grew up in Cyprus and Egypt before immigrating to the United States. Her debut novel, The Tiger’s Wife, won the 2011 Orange Prize for Fiction and was a National Book Award finalist. She later published Inland and The Morningside, while her short fiction has appeared in publications including The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and Harper’s.
