Scott Turow is an American writer and former practicing lawyer whose fiction career began with Presumed Innocent (1987), a landmark bestseller that helped popularize the modern legal thriller. He has written more than a dozen bestselling novels, many set in the fictional Kindle County and focused on lawyers, prosecutors, judges, and criminal cases. Turow has also published nonfiction, including One L, and his books have been translated into more than forty languages and adapted for film and television.
