David Freed is the author of the aviation-infused Cordell Logan mystery series, including Flat Spin, Fangs Out, Voodoo Ridge, The Three-Nine Line, Hot Start, The Kill Circle, and Deep Fury. A former Los Angeles Times investigative reporter and Pulitzer Prize recipient, he later became a produced Hollywood screenwriter and contributing editor at Air & Space Smithsonian. His journalism, military reporting, intelligence work, and experience as an instrument-rated pilot inform his crime and thriller fiction.
