Howie Carr is an American journalist, Boston Herald columnist, radio host, and author. He writes nonfiction about organized crime, political corruption, and notorious Boston figures, including the New York Times bestsellers The Brothers Bulger and Hitman. He has also written the crime novels Hard Knocks and Killers, and has won a National Magazine Award.
